An eco-friendly Interiors design to cater a healthy living environment. The project was briefed as a responsibility to cater to every day needs in an eco-friendly design progression. The architect decided to opt for the SIX SIGMA rule design for this project.

  1. Having a mindset toward sustainability: The team opted for enery efficient concepts, to reduce environment impact. Using materials that cause minimum damage to the environment, require minimum energy to get manufactured, should be recyclable and reusable, and can be easily extracted from the nature.
  2. Used Residential and business spaces efficiently: As it was a doctor’s residence, they had to keep in mind the safety measures to be taken to keep the indoors healthy, inspite of too much footfall on a daily basis. They selected materials that were easy to maintain and clean.
  3. Be socially responsible at all times: Those manufacturers were chosen that promote eco-friendly processes and procedures.
  4. Reclaim and Recycle: Refurbished many old items, and converted them into multi-purpose furniture pieces, and décor figures.
  5. Use energy saving lighting: Proper planning of windows and glass walls reduced the use of artificial lighting.
  6. Choose non-toxic and non-polluting materials: Save mother earth and save money at the same time. The team has used materials that are non-toxic and free of dust, so can be easily cleaned. Also, the spatial planning help the households to keep the indoors clean and healthy. Use of air-purifying indoor plants are also an added saviour.

Using neutral tones with bold accents in the rooms adds up the relaxation and peace that one wants in the bedroom. Greens are used to release stress, greys are used for restfulness and peace, wood is used to enhance the luxury, and blues to keep the mindfulness in peace and help in bringing the feeling of joy in the house. The entire color palette was designed in such a way to make the spaces look fruitful and energetic.

Bathrooms are very well designed as private retreats for relaxation and rejuvenation. Warm colors for a sense of cleanliness and purity. Black and greys give a spa-like feeling and promote secrecy, calmness, and freshness in the bathrooms.

The space showcases luxury, exhibiting the use of the right amount of light, mix and match of bold with neutrals in the right balances, and painted walls with fancy hardware enhances the excitement in the most peaceful ways. The right color for the right feel, with the job done right, gives the most satisfying feeling from the moment you enter the house.
