A Modern Mughal style theme for interiors combining the opulence and grandeur of Mughal architecture and design with contemporary elements for a luxurious yet updated look. Here are some key elements and ideas that we had used to create a modern Mughal-style interior:
Rich Color Palette: Started with a rich and warm color palette featuring deep jewel tones like sapphire blue, ruby red, and amethyst purple. Gold accents can be used to add a touch of glamour.
Ornate Patterns and Textiles: Incorporated traditional Mughal patterns like paisley, floral motifs, and intricate geometrics into textiles such as curtains, rugs, and upholstery.
Architectural Details: Used the existing architectural elements inspired by Mughal design, such as arched doorways, carved woodwork, and intricate lattice screens (jali work) to create a sense of grandeur.
Furniture: Opted for furniture with ornate detailing, such as inlaid bone or mother-of-pearl, and upholstered pieces with rich, luxurious fabrics. Low-slung divans or floor seating for added authenticity.
Lighting: We have used pendant lamps or chandeliers with intricate metalwork and colorful glass or crystal accents. This can create a sense of opulence.
Art and Decor: Hang Mughal-style miniature paintings, or modern interpretations of them, on the walls. Decorated with mirrors, ornate frames, and carved wooden accents.
Textured Walls: Used textured wall finishes like ornate wallpapers to add depth and character to the walls. The texture is mimicing the intricacy of Mughal architecture.

Modern Comfort: Ensure that your modern Mughal-style interior is comfortable and functional. Soft, plush seating and modern amenities are essential for contemporary living.
Balance and Minimalism: While Mughal design is known for its opulence, we made sure to strike a balance by avoiding clutter.
The modern Mughal-style interior is about blending the timeless beauty of Mughal design with modern comforts and sensibilities. It’s a harmonious fusion of the old and the new, resulting in a truly unique and luxurious living space.
