The design combines fresh aesthetics and royal palettes with keen attention to detail. The design and decorative elements were inspired by the Mughal Empire, which was a major empire in the Indian subcontinent during the 16th and 17th centuries. Mughal design is characterized by its opulence, intricate craftsmanship, and a fusion of Persian, Indian, and Islamic influences. When applying Mughal style to hospitality interiors, the focus is on creating a luxurious and regal ambiance. Incorporated the arched doorways and windows, as well as dome-shaped ceilings and structures to mimic the architectural elements of Mughal buildings like the Taj Mahal. Mughal craftsmen were known for their exquisite inlay work, particularly using semi-precious stones. Inlay designs were applied to furniture, tabletops, and decorative items. Chandeliers and lamps with intricate designs and detailed metalwork were used to create an authentic Mughal ambiance. The interiors typically feature rich and vibrant colors, such as royal blues, and golden yellows. These colors are used for walls, textiles, and accents. Pramana Design Studio worked with Ar. Aaradhya Singhal, Aaradhya Singhal Design Studio, New Delhi on this project.

This project envisions the interior design of a boutique café inspired by the opulence, artistry, and architectural grandeur of the Mughal era. The goal is to create a culturally immersive and visually captivating space that transports guests to the regal charm of historic India, while seamlessly integrating modern functionality for a contemporary café experience.

Drawing from Mughal aesthetics—such as intricate jali work, archways, inlay patterns, and rich textiles—the design will fuse heritage elements with a warm, inviting café ambiance. The layout includes a main seating area, service counter, private nooks, and outdoor spillover space, all echoing the motifs and materials of classic Mughal palaces.
